About the session:

We know that the human brain was built to process content visually. Yet, when we
respond to RFQs and RFPs, we tend to submit text‐heavy documents and expect our
readers to digest the content. As marketers, we need to make our submittals stand out
from the competition through easy‐to‐understand visuals.

In this session, we will learn the basic structure of infographics, discuss eight key text
areas common in RFQ/RFP submittals to reimagine as infographics, discover tools to
create and visualize data, and explore ways to turn your firm’s messages into compelling
graphic elements.

Julie Shaffer, CPSM, will walk through key areas of content to discern ways to convert
basic text into striking visual elements. She will provide value through her real‐life
examples and hands‐on demonstrations.

About the Presenter:

As an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CC, a CompTIA CTT+ Certified Trainer, and an
award‐winning designer, Julie can help you hone your skills and get ready for that next big
pursuit. Julie has spent 20 years knee‐deep in proposals, mastering software tools for
efficiency, consistency, and automation with the goal of expediting content layout so she
can focus on creative strategy and messaging.

Actively engaged with clients and daily working on AEC projects, Julie is one of the few
trainers that can speak to our industry and to our specific needs.
