What to know more about Liz?

Why did you join SMPS?

I have a background in sales and business development in the architectural products world. Since I now work for an engineering firm, I am looking forward to applying my skills here at Trans Associates and learning new strategies and tactics to help grow the business. I believe SMPS can help me with that mission. I met with several SMPS members prior to joining and found that everyone appreciates the educational and networking opportunities the organization provides. Everyone I met has been open, friendly and helpful.

What SMPS events are you most looking forward to?

I am really excited about all the educational opportunities that are available through SMPS. It is hard to pick specific events that I am looking forward to since I have a dual role in marketing and business development. From what I can see, nearly all the educational events are relevant. I hope to network at the events to learn from successful individuals in the organization who balance all that can be done relative to what must absolutely be done for business growth.

What do you do in your free time?

Spending time with my family and staying active. I enjoy the outdoors, cycling and camping in the summer. I would love to cross country ski this winter, but Mother Nature may have other ideas!

People would be surprised to know that…

I love to poke around in antique shops.  My mother got me interested as a young child and now all three of my daughters enjoy the hunt for treasures as well.
