Brian is a 1988 graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and his career began at Columbus, Ohio-based SBC, where he served a range of retail/consumer clients. In 1991, he joined Burson-Marsteller, the world’s largest PR agency, where he helped drive public relations, issues management and public affairs for Philip Morris and otherconsumer-based clients. In 1995, he was named VP, marketing, for the Steel Recycling Institute to direct national environmental marketing campaigns for the steel industry.

He has helped lead successful integrated marketing communication campaigns for leading companies, including Calgon Carbon, Hyde Marine, HyperActive Technologies, Eat’n Park Restaurants, Sheetz, and Equitable Gas, among others.

Brian has served on the board of directors for the Ohio University National Alumni Association, the executive committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, as well as past-president of the Public Relations Society of America, Pittsburgh Chapter. He currently serves as a member of E-Magnify + PowerLink, an entrepreneurial advisory forum, which helps counsel regional business owners.

An Eagle Scout, he also is an executive board member for the Boy Scouts of America, Laurel Highlands Council, as well as vice president of marketing for the BSA, Northeast Region.

Pre-registered “no-shows” are responsible for the full cost of registration plus a service charge and will be billed accordingly. If you paid by credit card, you card will be credited. If you paid by check, a refund will be mailed to you within 10 business days.
