Kate Lacey Glodek, Manager of the Government Agency Coordination Office (GACO) Pittsburgh Satellite Office, California University of Pennsylvania, has worked in the government contracting field for 7 years. Prior to joining GACO, she held various positions at Verizon Communications. She holds a Masters of Arts degree in Corporate Communication from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and received her undergraduate degree from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Kate is certified by the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC) as an Associate Contracting Assistance Specialist.

As Manager of the GACO Pittsburgh office, Ms. Lacey Glodek counsels businesses concerning all aspects of government contracting on the federal, state and local level. GACO is a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) funded by the Sarah Scaife Foundation and the Defense Logistics Agency. Since the program began in 1985, GACO has helped regional businesses obtain over $2.9 billion in contracts and subcontracts.

Allen Meier began his professional career working for the Office of Congressman John Murtha, former Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. During his time with Mr. Murtha’s office, Allen was tasked with assisting local businesses, both large and small, with analyzing the federal marketplace and identifying potential federal procurement opportunities including R&D funding, Congressionally-directed funding, contracting opportunities, grants, etc. Since leaving Mr. Murtha’s office in June of 2009, Allen worked as both a full-time employee and contract consultant for companies and organizations looking to identify federal procurement opportunities in a number of markets including defense; health care; construction and engineering; education; transportation; Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) supply; and more. Allen has a great deal of experience with tracking federal spending and identifying current and future opportunities through federal budget analysis, federal spending trends, FedBizOpps, etc. Allen also assisted companies and organizations with contract proposals and administration. He successfully completed proposals, performed negotiations, and performed contract administration procedures for GSA Schedule contracts, Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts, and other task order/delivery order contracts. Allen received a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh with a double major in Political Science and History. He received numerous awards for his military service, including an Army Commendation Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal.
